Why would I want to create a “movie” or better yet “motion and gif” file out of a live picture file that can’t be used anywhere else but in my picture file folder? When sharing, you can only view the still picture and not even the live picture! So it doesn’t convert anything into simply edits your already motion/live pictures. That’s it! It doesn’t create anything! But get this, the “created” files are useless when trying to share in Facebook or trying to use in movie creator apps, such as Splice. To put it accurately, this apps simply allows us to manipulate (edit) live pictures. PRETTY USELESS WHEN SHARING CREATED FILES!Ī lot of potential wasted here! Yes, this app can turn live pictures into “gifs” and it can adjust/trim the live picture itself, which they call “movie”. You can still use the app on older iPhone, just get your friends to send you one via iMessage. To turn the photo into a GIF, launch the Photos app and tap Albums at the bottom of the window. Important: You need an iPhone 6S/6S Plus or above to capture Live Photos. A single in-app purchase allows you to remove the watermark. Lively lets you export for free with a watermark.
